SP in Active Addiction… any advice?

Has anyone here dealt with manifesting an SP when addiction was a major part of the circumstances?

I know we always say circumstances don’t matter, and I genuinely believe people can change, but this is one circumstance I rarely hear people talk about. *Athena is really the only person I’ve heard discuss manifesting an SP out of addiction, and I would really love to hear from anyone who has personally experienced something similar!*

My SP has struggled pretty severely with addiction. When I met him, he was running a successful business and drinking a bit more than I would’ve liked, but I believe that work was his addiction at that time. He ended up opening up to me that he had been on drugs and basically living on the streets when he was in his 20s… But he built himself back up. Since then, we have lived together, shared life together, and became like family over the last 10 years. After a recent really rough job loss, it feels as though he has regressed to his 20s . I’ve seen him relapse, I’ve gotten calls from him in the middle of relapses, there has been a LOT of dishonesty and infidelity (ripping my heart out), and at times I find myself looking at the 3D and thinking… is he just too far gone? He’s 48 (10 years older than me), and works at a freaking nightclub. Alcohol used to be the main problem, but now it’s cocaine to wake up, ketamine to sleep, alcohol in between & girls that are young enough to be his daughter.

Pretty much everyone in my life thinks I should walk away and that after everything that has happened, he isn’t worthy of the love I have for him. I get it. He’s treated me like shit. People have always told me that I’m way out of his league. And, maybe this sounds crazy to them, but that isn’t what I want. I love this person deeply. I want to see him healthy, healed, loving himself, living an entirely different life, and ultimately sharing that life with me. I genuinely have a hard time imagining my life without him in it.

I’m not really looking for advice about whether I should leave him or whether I “deserve better.” Ya girl knows a bish has choices lol. What I’m specifically wondering is: has anyone here actually experienced an SP overcoming serious addiction or completely transforming circumstances that looked this bad in the 3D? And if so, how did you handle your own assumptions when the current reality kept giving you evidence of the opposite?

I’d really love to hear your stories, resources that helped, etc ❤️ I feel pretty alone in this, as there’s not much information on manifesting loved ones out of addiction.

Hey. My partner has addiction issues too. He’s 31. Has had addictions for 15years atleast. Recently I decided that’s it it’s done he’s quit it all. I just stopped reacting and he got a mild pneumonia. He quit it all for two weeks and resumed again. Now I’m too tired of this relationship itself, I even found he shows some symptoms of ADHD but he isn’t getting any diagnosis or treatment

First of all, thank you for replying 😭. You’re one of the only ppl who believe and practice LOA that I’ve heard from mentioning addiction in their partner. Wow. Yeah, I’ve seen him slowly start to do things a bit less recently (hasn’t filled the alcohol cabinet in a week, it’s all empty bottles), but he’s still taking Ketamine to sleep, cocaine to keep going at work, etc. I also KNOW he’s undiagnosed ADHD. Sometimes I feel tired of everything too, & it feels so out of control I’m like ok… these circumstances are too much. BUT. At this point I almost want to prove it to myself that I can change things around. I know you say you’re too tired of the relationship itself, but if you want a manifestation buddy with this lmk! Everyone in my life thinks I’m absolutely batshit crazy, so I feel super alone in supporting him. Thank you again for replying, it made my day ♥️

Hello there, I’ve been waiting a long time to find someone to share this story with. I will try to keep it short and to the point. My husband is 40, I am 31. Before me, he struggled with heroin, meth, and porn for very many years. He and his 3 brothers struggled with addiction for decades, since they were in high school. And before him, I struggled with being “codependency” and an “empath” in my previous relationships where addiction was also present. When my husband and I started casually dating 5 years ago, I’d already been a few years into my awakening journey. He was only a few months sober, recently moved back to the area after a breakup from his previous fiancée, had a stable job, living in a 400 sq ft apartment, $100k+ in debt, dealing with steroid and gym addiction/validation seeking, regularly going to AA meetings, and pretty much a fboy. Big people pleaser, validation seeker, etc. Since me, he hasn’t touched any hard substances but fell into a kratom addiction. One day, his higher self came to me and said to stop seeing him as an addict. It was really hard, and we went through a lot of pain, but I persisted. And when it got too hard to ignore the 3d, there were moments I’d yell at God and tell him if he wanted him to change, he’d have to do it himself. I soon realized that he was reflecting me. Every single core wounding from my childhood. After a few years, I realized the game of life is a game of audacity, inner conviction, and emotional regulation. I had to accept for one that multiple realities are existing in this very moment and I have always been the one choosing this version of him, and the version of me in relation to him. I had to gain the audacity to say f this and choose a different version of us. And God did the rest: found him the right inspirational men’s coaches online and an enmeshment specialist who explained his gross family dynamic to a tee, making him realize his addiction was a manifestation of that dysfunctional family system. It’s been a journey, but he got sober, is no contact with his family after a huge blow up, we had a kid, got married, own the house we rented for a year in a different city, he’s making double what he was before at a new job, we manifest together (including 90% of his massive debt away), he is grounded loving and present, and he’s been off steroids for 3-4 years. He’s confident and secure in himself, he’s reliable, dependable, protective, and an amazing father to our son. He is completely unrecognizable to the previous version. As am I. The only thing he still struggles with right now is nicotine, but he’s been on NRT patches to quit, managing his caffeine intake, and getting better at processing his family wounds as they come up instead of escaping. In the beginning we did struggle with infidelity and a wandering eye. I’m no angel either. And I realized he was just reflecting my own fears. He was uncertain about me, because I was uncertain about me, and him too. Whenever he slipped into addiction or whatever, I was able to have enough self awareness to see where my dominant thoughts were that led to it. The best thing for me was getting off social media all together because the algorithm would just reflect negative beliefs and feeding a dead version of us. Sometimes his relapses were a reflection of my own relapses on social media, too. It’s been a journey and I’m sure I’m forgetting a few key details but I hope this helped!

I’m literally sitting here sobbing reading this message. You have no idea how much this means to me, and the timing was so incredibly beautiful. My SP & I had (and have had in the past) UGLY breakups where I essentially manifested needing so much help from my family. My parents hate him & think he’s a hopeless cause. My friends think he’s trash. When I got the notification that someone had responded to my message, I had JUST gotten off the phone with my mom. She hasn’t asked about him in ages, but she did today & I was honest. “We still talk sometimes, I miss him more than I can express, & I’m holding out hope that he changes”. She instantly retorted, told me she doesn’t think that will happen, & was incredibly negative. I got off the phone feeling a bit deflated, alone, but more angry and exhausted. Then, I saw your notification. I will read your story again and again. Everything you’ve said makes so much sense, and I actually had a crazy experience the other night where I was talking to his higher self & his father (deceased) and they both told me that it’s up to me to stop seeing him as an addict and to start seeing him as his highest self. I recognize so much of his addiction in me, but it hasn’t manifested as addiction to substances for me. I know he is a reflection, and I feel like it’s bullshit that other people can’t see it and I feel like I’m the only one lol BUT I DONT CARE. Literally everything you have said has been medicine to my soul. I have been praying for ANYONE to understand me… and I feel so seen by your story. Thank you for taking the time to share your success with me. I won’t forget you ♥️ With deep love & gratitude, Caitlyn
